Green Thumbs?

The LaCombes (with the help of our amazing neighbor Ron) have planted our first ever organic garden. We planted red peppers, yellow peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, green beans, and pumpkins.

It's a family ritual to water the garden after dinner each evening. Last Sunday, we spent the morning pulling grass and weeds. Daddy bought a super duper water hose set-up so that we don't have to lug pitchers of water to the garden each night.

The little gardener loves to play in the dirt -- he shouts "dirt" each time we approach the garden. Then, he says "open" as he tugs on the gate. William will also say "no no" as he approaches the plants. We're trying to teach him to be careful around the plants... sometimes it's effective! (Notice the dirt around the mouth... you should have seen his hands!)

The water hose is a bit hit. Actually, William loves to be squirted with the cold water... go figure! Our neighbors get a kick out of William's laughter when the cold water hits him!

What a little helper!
