Valentine's Day Blizzard

The winter storm that spread snow and wintry mix through the Northeast on Valentine's Day was not enough to cool the warm hearts of David, Kathryn, and Prince William.

Officially designated a "Nor'easter," the storm dumped almost a foot of the white stuff in our yard (and that's before the snowplow piled a mound in our driveway...trapping our cars). We watched with excitement as the snow flew sideways, swirled in circles, mixed with sleet, and ended with huge flakes accumulating inch after inch for almost twenty-four hours.

Party-pic in the backyard.
Note the high-speed digital Wintercam image that captures
snowflakes in flight as they actually fall to the ground (amazing, huh).

William demonstrates his Daddy-Sledding skills in the frozen backyard tundra.
Hmmm...I can't seem to get this one to pull the sled.
I better hook the big guy back up to my sled.

Ahhh...the life of a winter adventurist!

Keep shoveling ol' man.

Mommy and me celebrating after I finished shoveling the driveway.
So much for child labor laws!

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!
