Santa visits William...

William Noel awoke before sunrise this Christmas morning!! Mommy changed his diaper, and Daddy made a cup of milk for our little one!

Then, we all entered the sunroom... the Christmas tree lights were on, the camcorder was ready (the digital camera died...). Then, William saw the presents left by Santa... "Ooooohhhh" he said as he tapped the gifts... he was so excited... he smiled and smiled!

Priceless!

Dear Santa...

Naughty or Nice? Santa checks on William!!

'Twas the eve before Christmas eve, when all through the house
William was stirring up mess, not unlike a mouse;
The family was playing with very few cares,
Knowing that St. Nicholas was preparing to visit there;
When out in the street there arose such a clatter,
Daddy sprang from the sunroom to see what was the matter.
Away to the bay window he flew like a flash,
Stared out the window and listened for a crash.
When, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
But a yellow flashing sleigh approaching and near,
With a driver and rider, so lively and quick,
He knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

Our local fire department brought Santa through the neighborhood to check on whether the boys and girls have been naughty or nice....

Once we heard the clatter, Mommy scrambled to get Pookah's hat and jacket, the camera (which was not found), and the camcorder (which she used from the front porch dressed in red flannel pj's... I am sure Santa was impressed!)

Check out the post following this one for the ACTUAL video ... it's fun and LOUD!!

Celebrating our Anniversary in NYC

This time last year my Mommy and Daddy jetted off to Sedona to get married. I didn't get to go with them to Arizona so I insisted that I be included in their anniversary trip. So, naturally, we set our sights on the Big Apple as the destination for our family celebration.

I never rode on a train before so you can imagine my excitement as we traveled along the Hudson River into Grand Central Station. After arriving in NYC, our first destination was Rockefeller Center - yes, the home of the 80ft Christmas Tree.

I couldn't sit still for the family party-pic. There was just too much to see, hear, and do.

This is what I was looking at... what a great view of the skaters and the tree!

Daddy took this photo as we stood in front of Saks Fifth Avenue and admired the holiday windows!

We enjoyed a very nice lunch at the Rock Cafe. Seated at the base of the ice rink, my parents watched the skaters while I flirted with the waitress.

After lunch we visited St. Patrick's Cathedral. It's tough to say which is more impressive - the architechure or the church's long-standing history. We were in awe as we entered the church - the view inside is spectacular. Of particular note is the beautiful Nativity scene near the altar.

Fading...I need some espresso!

Down for the count.

What a wonderful day. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing each other's company as we explored NYC and celebrated our marriage and family made in heaven.

Birthday Bash for Zion

William met a friend at Gymboree, Zion, who invited Will to his birthday party! William ate cupcakes, drank juice out of a box (a new feat!), danced, played with bubbles... all the elements of a great party! After two hours of partying, Pookah was pooped (notice the noonie in his mouth)!

Daddy and Will playing at the party -- Nice hat, Dad!

Dancing... though you can't see it in this photo!!

All I want for Christmas...

William with Santa... he's a bit skeptical, isn't he!

William Noel met with Santa Clause for the first time on Friday evening at the Children's Christmas Party at his dad's office. Young Will couldn't wait to share his thoughts with Old St. Nick. Will held his dad's hands, stomped his feet, and giggled while waiting his turn!! He marched down the path lined with garland, and Daddy placed him in the lap of the man in red. They must have been communicating through body language because not a word was spoken.

William had a wonderful time eating pizza (actually biting a piece -- pictured below), seeing the children, and exploring his gift bag with his dad!! What a wonderful evening!!!

Waiting for the party to start!

Christmas Cookies Made Easy

Hello people - It's William Noel.

I'm on my own as the parental units struggle with making holiday cookies. You should see the place - there's flour everywhere and Daddy is covered in multi-colored sprinkles. We're a mess!

So anyways, I have an opinion on all this holiday baking - it's too complicated. Wouldn't you people rather be enjoying a few moments of leisure. Consider me for a minute - I'm at the most crucial point in my development and you people are painting cookies.

I don't want to bring up a problem without a solution, so here's my conribution to holiday cheer. Get yourself an "Easy Button." I have one and it's entirely changed my life for the better. I used to be a work-a-holic until I decided to simplify my life. I'm never going back to that dog-eat-dog wold. From now on...I'm on Easy street.

My parents weren't catching the clues I was sending so I had to make an intervention. Just as their baking mania was at peek levels, I stomped on the Easy Button and, viola...the piece de resistance - cookies extraordinaire.

Sometimes it's not easy being a child prodigy - I suppose it's my purpose to keep my parents in-line...whew...I need a vacation.

Enjoy the cookies.

William Noel
