DML visits the Golden Gate Bridge

Just a short post from San Francisco. David is in the Bay area for the week on business. He managed to sneak away early this morning for a few minutes of sight seeing.

This area is beautiful - we're looking forward to returning as a family...perhaps in January.

Stay tuned for additional updates.

Speaking to KC on the phone - "I love you honey...oh..everything is ok...they have me pretty busy. No time for fun. Huh, what's that noise in the background? Sounds like sea gulls, you say? Oh..that's the television..we just took a short bathroom break from...er...ah...training....that's it. I love you - I have to get back to work...bye!"

Family trip to Liberty Ridge

Having declared a moratorium on home improvement projects, we packed the Pathfinder and headed to Liberty Ridge Farm. Located near Albany, the farm is renowned for its huge maze cut into a cornfield.

The drive North was spectacular - autumn colors replaced the normal green with brilliant oranges, yellows, reds, and every color in between. With each turn in the road we exclaimed "oooh and ahhh." It reminded me of watching fireworks.

We arrived at the farm just before noon, and the temperature was only 55 degrees. Pookah knew we were up to something, and he was excited and barely could sit still as he put on his jacket and hat.

After entering the farm we spotted a mini-maze. KC and David viewed the maze with a smitten smirk - not realizing that they'd be stuck in the puzzle for some time.

Liberty Ridge - So many new things to do

We petted horses and goats and watched bunnies bounce around a miniature city. My Mommy pushed me on a swing, and I took a break near a big 'ol pumpkin.

Whew....having fun is a lot of work!

Liberty Ridge - All aboard the Cow Train

The Cow Train was ready to depart when we arrived. Each compartment was occupied with an eager passenger - most of them between the ages of 6 - 10. My Dad looked a little dejected as I climbed into the train...so I asked him to join me.

After squeezing Daddy into the seat we departed on an exciting ride around the farm. Mommy stayed at the station with my stroller and the rest of the gear.

We took off with a lurch - the mighty locomotive's engine raced as we cut in hairpin turns around pumpkin patches. Next we raced into the cornfield - splashing mud everywhere as our wheels slid from side to side. I told my Daddy not to be scared as we went over big bumps and deep dips - whew...I'm glad he was in my seat....he really needed me.

Exiting the cornfield, we zigged and zagged - steaming towards the train station. We smiled as we saw Mommy cheering us!

What a fun time for all!!

The Boys!

These shoes are made for walkin'

William Noel got his first pair of "walkin' shoes" a couple of weeks ago! Of course, the shoes are XX Wide... Of course, the shoes are appropriately scuffed at this point (not depicted in these photos). William cruises along the furniture, stands unaided, and takes steps when holding onto Mommy and Daddy. Crawling is still his preferred method of transportation.

(Cell phone photo... not bad!)

Six teeth and counting!!
