Thankful for My Friend

William invited his friend Brielle over for some Thanksgiving fun during Thanksgiving week!

William and Brielle mixed pumpkin bread batter! Mommy baked the loaves so Brielle could bring hers home!

Painting was very popular! At least two dozen masterpieces were created!

After lunch and samples of pumpkin bread, it was play time! Daddy got in on the action!

"I am so thankful for my friend!"

Thanksgiving Warm-Up

We hiked across the creek on our way up the hill!

David was on vacation Thanksgiving week, so we took full advantage of our time together! On the first day of vacation, we bundled up and went for a mid-morning hike. It was cold, and most of the leaves had fallen from the trees.

The boys are ready to go! William brought his camera...a must for any LaCombe Family outing.

We searched for as many red leaves as we could find. Then, we placed the leaves along the trunk of a fallen tree. We don't know the name of the game, but William loved it!

And young William had to get a good shot of our work!

Out in the woods... had a great morning!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween 2007!

On Halloween eve, the boys decorated the yard with orange and purple lights and our "Happy Halloween" sign!

Our playgroup met at the outlet mall on Halloween morning for a bit of trick-or-treating! However, we began the morning at the playground... a little warm-up exercise!

CANDY!

Look what I got...!!!

"Trick or treat!"

Whoa, look at all the treats!!

After a little nap, William was ready for Halloween night festivities! The boys are helping to set up for our little get-together with our neighbors!

Notice the pumpkins... the little painted pumpkin and the one William decorated at the birthday party!!

What a spread!!

Taking our little train engineer trick-or-treating...after the second house, he stood in the wagon and said, "done." Okay.

Checking out the neighbor's decorations...

William enjoyed playing with our neighbor's grandson.

Checking out Uncle Ron and Bridgette's remaining stash of candy...

Running, dancing, playing, laughing... what fun to watch!!

You can't imagine what all was going on with the empty candy bowls. Notice that young William is putting it on his head... and at this age he mimics what he sees... enough said!

Then, out comes the trombone kazoo!!! We played and danced and laughed!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

Painting and Pumpkins Playdate!

On Halloween eve, William and Brielle got together for a pre-Halloween play date! After playing outside for a bit, they ventured inside for a really fun activity - pumpkin painting! Then, after cleaning up the mess, this little pair shared a lunch of pizza and pears. Brielle discovered the musical instruments in the toy box, and a wonderful concert began!

Pumpkin painting was so much fun!

What a beautiful creation!

William loved this project! He was really proud of his pumpkin, which we displayed on our Halloween table!

What beautiful music!
(Mommy loves his Halloween shirt: "I love my Mummy" )

Halloween party - birthday style!

William's friend, Madison, celebrated her 2nd birthday the weekend before Halloween with a costume party! Our little train engineer loved spending the afternoon with his buddies and loved the cupcakes!

Mr. Train Engineer... ah hem... Mr. Serious

Checking out the crafts with the birthday girl ballerina!

William loves to paint, so he domineered the paint brushes that were to be used to decorate the pumpkins!

And train engineers play with... trains...!

Giving Little Bo Peep (a.k.a. Brielle) a hug!

All the party goers... a train engineer, Snow White, a cheerleader, Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Little Bo Peep, a ballerina birthday girl, and a fireman. Not pictured are an infant pumpkin and a little lion!

Happy Birthday, Dear Madison, Happy Birthday to YOU!
