Spring has Sprung!

We are finally getting some warmer weather, so we are taking full advantage. In the last week, we have visited one of our town parks, played in the yard, and played in the dirt! William is having a great time...being a little boy!

Climbing the stairs to the slide... what a gorgeous day!

Somebody looks excited about the slide!

Swinging with your son: Priceless

A boy, a truck, and a sand pit...
Heaven!

Young William surveying the yard work that needs to be done!

Okay, I'll do my part!

Hope I am helping with all the dirt work being done!

Again... a boy, a truck, and a dirt pile... Heaven!

LaCombes visit Storm King Art Center

Hello People, William Noel here.

My parents were recently feeling a little stir-crazy. So, I decided to get the ol' folks out for some fresh air. And, what better place than Storm King Art Center - located just 5 minutes from our home (a good thing because you know how the parents need their afternoon naps).

So, anyways...after a short drive, we arrived at our picnic destination. The brochure states that the Storm King Art Center is a museum that celebrates the relationship between sculpture and nature. Five hundred acres of landscaped lawns, fields and woodlands provide the site for sculptures by internationally renowned artists. The grounds are surrounded by the undulating profiles of the Hudson Highlands, a dramatic panorama integral to the viewing experience.

Here I explain to my parents the virtues of art appreciation. I hope they understood what I was saying.

Wow, this sculpture is taller than my house!

Daddy, I feel so little under this big sculpture. Can we find something more my size?

C'mon, Daddy...let's go!

Whew...this one's huge too! Is there anything here for little people?

Momma, from this distance...the sculptures look little!

I'm going for a walk...keep up people!

Ah...just my size...I think I'll sit here for a while.

Easter Weekend!

We shared our first New York Easter with our dear friends, Jay Pierret and Amanda Cashi.

Jay and Amanda arrived via train on the evening of Good Friday, April 6, 2007. We all had a wonderful dinner at Torches on the Hudson. William especially enjoyed the huge aquarium in the restaurant.

A little present from Uncle Jay and Aunt Amanda

Quite a bottle of water!

Easter Saturday was filled with a multitude of activities.

We revitalized the Breakfast Club. David made French toast, breakfast sausage, granola and yogurt with fresh fruit... and Peet's coffee.

Egg hunt set-up is underway!

Daddy did all the set-up for the Easter egg hunt -- cut and painted garden stakes, drove the stakes into the ground, strung crepe paper among the stakes to cardon off the egg hunt area.

David and Jay toured West Point, while Kathryn and Amanda played with William and caught up on all the gossip, uh, important information.

We picked up lunch at Mama Theresa's... YUM!

We blew up helium balloons and attached these to the garden stakes.

Waiting for the egg hunter!

We bundled up and went outside for the egg hunt.

A bit of egg hunt instruction from Daddy

Wow... this is fun!

A balloon and a smile!

Cute bunnies!

Then, we cooked dinner and played a couple of great rounds of Cranium. Of course, Team Jay/Kathryn dominated!!!

On Easter morning, the Easter bunny arrived with a beautiful basket for young William and a large ELMO!

Daddy, look, it's ELMO!

All of this for me??

Then, we had another Breakfast Club meeting before driving our friends to the train station for their return trip to Louisiana.

What an wonderful weekend!

...and these are my role models...?
